Free Rice

Have you checked out FreeRice.com? No, you will not get free rice by visiting this site - it's even better! You answer vocabulary questions, choosing the meaning of words. It's multiple choice, so even if vocabularly isn't a strength for you, you're bound to get some right! For every meaning you guess correctly, 20 grains of rice are donated through the UN World Food Program to help end world hunger. So simple and addicting! In just a few minutes of me guessing meanings, 800 grains of rice were donated! On the site today, it stated that 83,260,380 grains of rice were donated yesterday; over 39 billion to date! How awesome is that? If you have elementary, jr. high, or high school children, introduce them to it - what a great way for them to improve their vocabulary, have fun doing it, and feel good about helping eliminate world hunger, all at the same time!

Welcome to the Z Kids Music blog!

Welcome to the Z Kids Music blog! I am thrilled that you decided to join us on this amazing adventure! First, I’ll share with you a little about our company, Z Kids Music. Have you listened to a sample song yet? If so, you completely understand why we absolutely LOVE this product! If you haven’t, I suggest you do! In our house, we started with VeggieTales vol. 1 (the one with the yellow background). The look on our daughter’s face when she realized the VeggieTales were singing her name was absolutely priceless! She loved it! That was at age one. She still loves it today, at age four, and her little brother does, too. This disc is a staple in our car. They sing along, laugh, and do all the moves to the songs, such as “If You’re Happy and You Know It” - the best they can when strapped in their car seats! This is the CD that I always turn to when I see they’re about to doze off just minutes from home. Perks them up so we can make it home for real naps in bed, rather than the 5 minute snooze in the car that makes them grouchy for the rest of the day. This is my afternoon-saving CD!
We love these CDs, and I’m confident you and your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends will love them, as well! Remember, when you order three or more CDs, you receive $5 off each one!
What else will you find on this blog, you ask? As a parent of young children, I’ll be sharing tips and tricks for parenting. I’ll share with you my favorite healthy kids cookbooks, recipes, activities, websites, insights, and anything else I think you might find useful and relevant. Please check back often and add your tips and feedback, as well. Let’s have fun raising kids together!
